  • Project: Telecommunication Systems of Sarakhs-Neka-Rasht Gas Pipeline
  • Location: Northern Part of Iran
  • Client: IGTC & NIGC
  • Contract Type: Detail Engineering and Procurement
  • Started: 2010
  • Status: Completed

Target

Replacement of the existing analog telecommunication system with DMR systems, and establishment of a number of new sites, equipped with the same DMRs, to improve monitoring and management capabilities along the pipeline. Also, enhancement of supervisory systems in main monitoring/control centers of the pipeline including Shahid Hasheminejad Refinery, Shahid Bagheri, Gorgan Yard, Lakan (Rasht) and Tehran.

Main Features

  • Enhancement of telecommunication network of a long pipeline which has an existing and under load network
  • Integrating various telecom systems in order to meet voice and data requirements
  • Vast geographical area of the project, extending over five provinces
  • Extreme geoclimatic factors due to special positioning of the sites, which are located near the sea & thus experience high humidity and high temperatures
