SPOL/

  • Project: F&G Systems of SPOL Offshore Facilities
  • Location: The South Pars Field in the Persian Gulf
  • Client: PEDEC
  • Contract Type: Procurement
  • Started: 2010
  • Status: Completed

Target

Development of phase one with installation of a new production and water injection wellhead platform encompassing 7 production wells, 2 water injections wells for future expansion, and 3 spare slots for production. Individual flow lines transport reservoir fluid from each Christmas tree to a production manifold on wellhead platform, then to an export riser and hence via sub sea pipeline to an FPSO , for stabilization, dewatering, desalting and finally to be exported via shuttle tankers. The destined wellhead platform capacity is 44,000 BLPD.

Scope of Work

Scope of the project includes design, procurement, inspection, testing and delivery of Fire & Gas Detectors, including all required accessories necessary for the safe and satisfactory operation of the equipment in the offshore Platform of the Field as one of its major safety systems.

These Fire & Gas detectors are to be installed in the process area (Outdoor), which is considered as hazardous area and smoke detectors and Heat detectors will be installed in TR, which is considered a safe area. For standardization, all detectors shall be Explosion Proof (Flame Proof) EEx”d” design, suitable for installation in zone 1 area. All detectors, manual alarm call points, ESD Push buttons and devices suitable for zone 1 shall be designed and certified for Gas Group IIB, Temperature Class T3 according to IEC normalization
